Parents often ask for a passport “for the family.” The harder question is what happens to a child born five or ten years later. Citizenship by investment future generations planning depends on the issuing country’s nationality law, the parents’ status, the child’s place of birth, and registration deadlines.
A citizenship grant to the main applicant does not automatically answer every future-child question. Some countries transmit nationality by descent. Others require registration, a formal application, proof of parentage, or a deadline. A child born abroad may be treated differently from a child born in the issuing country.
Protect the future claim
Keep the following together:
•The parent’s citizenship certificate and grant documents.
•The parent’s passport and any naturalisation or registration certificate.
•The child’s full birth certificate showing the parentage.
•Marriage, adoption, custody, or recognition records where relevant.
•Certified translations and legalisation or apostille evidence.
•The date and method by which the child was registered.
| Future-child question | Why it matters |
| Is citizenship automatic? | Some laws require registration rather than assuming transmission |
| Is birth abroad relevant? | Place of birth can affect nationality or registration rules |
| Is there a deadline? | A missed deadline may create a separate or more difficult process |
| Does the parent need to retain citizenship? | Transmission may depend on the parent’s status at the child’s birth |
| Are multiple nationalities allowed? | The child’s existing nationality law may impose its own rule |
Official nationality laws should be checked, not inferred from a program brochure. A CBI unit may explain the program’s qualifying family members but not every future descent rule. That may belong to a civil registry, foreign ministry, or nationality authority.
Zam Zam Citizenship helps families create a post-approval record pack and identify when a new birth needs separate registration. We do not promise automatic transmission or advise families to delay a statutory deadline.
If you are planning citizenship transmission to children, call +971 527851761 or start a confidential WhatsApp consultation with Zam Zam Citizenship. The future child is not an afterthought. The record should be ready before the birth certificate is needed.
